Eastgate Software is looking for an experienced Solution Architect to design backend architecture for large-scale systems in the Vietnamese market, including enterprise platforms, IoT integrations, and high-traffic B2C applications.

What You‘ll Do

• Analyze business and non-functional requirements to define overall system architecture.
• Design backend architecture for enterprise systems and large-scale B2C applications.
• Design and decompose systems using microservices, event-driven, and distributed architecture patterns.
• Architect integration solutions across backend, mobile apps, IoT platforms, and hardware devices.
• Design and own system architecture on AWS, ensuring scalability, availability, security, and cost efficiency.
• Plan for high-traffic scenarios: capacity planning, caching, database scaling, message queues, load balancing, autoscaling.
• Produce architecture artifacts (system context, component diagrams, deployment architecture, API specs, ADRs).
• Define technical standards, coding guidelines, and integration patterns.
• Partner with Product Owners, BAs, Tech Leads, and dev teams to turn business requirements into technical solutions.
• Review technical designs and code to ensure alignment with agreed architecture.
• Identify bottlenecks and technical risks, and drive improvements in performance and reliability.
• Run PoCs for new technologies where relevant.
• Apply AI tools and practices to design, development, testing, and operations.

Requirements

• 8+ years of software development experience, including experience as a Solution Architect, Technical Architect, Principal Engineer, or Tech Lead responsible for system design.
• Strong hands-on background in either:
  • Java (Spring Boot / Spring Cloud or the broader Java Enterprise ecosystem), or
  • NodeJS (enterprise-grade backend development)
• Solid understanding of distributed systems, event-driven architecture, RESTful APIs, caching, and message brokers.
• Experience architecting systems with high demands on performance, stability, and scalability.
• Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases and choosing the right storage solution for the problem.
• Ability to reason through non-functional requirements: performance/scalability, high availability, security, observability, backup & disaster recovery.
• Comfortable using AI tools in daily work, and able to critically assess the accuracy and risk of AI-assisted output.
• Experience building backend systems for IoT — connected devices, large-scale device data ingestion.
• Experience with large-scale B2C mobile applications, ideally systems handling 500K–1M concurrent users (CCU) or comparable transaction volume.
